NSN: Pending

Because sucking chest wounds suck...

The H&H sterile Chest Wound Kit provides proven emergency care for general, sucking, and exit chest wounds. The Chest Wound Kit combines three of our most popular products in a 5 mil vacuum sealed nylon bag for easy storage and use.

The Chest Wound Kit contains:
  • One (1) H&H Bolin Chest Seal, providing a flexible, creaseless solution for sucking chest wounds with its triple valve design, thick super-adhesive layer and heavy duty application disk.
  • One (1) H&H Wound Seal Kit for penetrating chest injuries and exit wounds with a sterile 6″ x 8″ polyurethane rectangle coated with a thick super-adhesive hydrogel layer along with a 8″ x 7.5″ ABD Pad.
  • One (1) 14 GA x 3.25″ Angiocath to treat and relieve any pneumothorax that might develop.

TCCC Guideline - Management of Open or Sucking Chest Wounds

"
Tactical Field Care and CASEVAC Care - Breathing: All open and/or sucking chest wounds should be treated by immediately applying an occlusive material to cover the defect and securing it in place. Monitor the casualty for the potential development of a subsequent tension pneumothorax."
